BranchOut forest-building card game

Designed and created with Alison Dobbins, Meg Heeres, Sarah Emmendorfer, based on 2 retreats with the rest of the BranchOut team including a site visit to the Pando aspen clone, and completed in the spring of 2026. This cooperative card game is designed for middle-school science students in Utah.

BranchOut is an interdisciplinary collaborative combining forestry, dance, theater, technology, costuming, music, and visual art. Funded through the STEAM Power Fellowship at Michigan State University, with: Alison Dobbins (Christopher Newport University); Alexis Bacon, Eleanor Siler, and Hailey Becker, Sarah Emmendorfer (Michigan State University); Kori Wakamatsu and Karen Jensen and Kinect student dance troupe (Brigham Young University); Meg Heeres (City of Henderson, NV); and Anne Yoncha and Alyssa Ridder (MSU Denver).
